PQF: Since 1995, The Houston Business Roundtable Commercial Issues Committee has developed and maintained the Standard Contractor Pre qualification form. This form is filled out by contractors wishing to do work at owner facilities. Working closely with the committee and through the Houston Safety Council, Marrder Omnimedia developed an online Rich Internet Application using Adobe Acrobat and Macromedia technologies. The application allows owners to browse contractor companies and retrieve their information. Today, the online PQF houses records for thousands of companies and provides a convenient solution for owners seeking contractor companies. NASAP: The North American Substance Abuse program was written to address the need to consolidate the drug and alcohol records of a transient workforce. Four Third Party Administrator companies work with collection sites to administer test results and feed data to the NASAP engine developed by Marrder Omnimedia. Cutting edge XML web services technologies provide a solid communications infrastructure, while a complex back-end processes the status of individuals in real-time. The status is enforced in the field using Marrder Omnimedia's Gatecheck technology equipped with barcode scanners, and a voice XML gateway that can be invoked through speech recognition using cellular phones. Hundreds of thousands of transaction events have been processed since the technology was deployed. Gatecheck: In a time of heightened security, access control has become a critical issue for the industrial complex. Marrder Omnimedia's Gatecheck applications connect to multiple data sources using Internet technologies to deliver real-time status information on employees. Connected to barcode scanners, the interface provides a simple, hands free operation. The gatecheck can be configured for multiple access criteria. Thousands of requests are processed every day from access points throughout the world. Peoplecheck: Background screens are a vital part of the pre-employment process. Criminal history, terrorism affiliation and social security validation are some of the criteria that needs to be determined prior to granting a person access to volatile facilities. The Peoplecheck webpart addresses the need for background check requests using a practical interface that connects to background check providers and Safety Council institutions. Contractor companies process thousands of employees' screens using the Peoplecheck application. Omnicouncil: Managing the back-office of a safety council operation is a complex proposition. Since 2001, Marrder Omnimedia's flagship product, Omnicouncil, has addressed the needs of the Houston Area Safety Council, one of the largest in its kind in the United States. Los Angeles based OSCA has also linked their operations to the Omnicouncil engine. A portal style Rich Internet Application front end provides seamless integration between business processes such as registration, front window processing, scheduling, classroom management, reporting and database access. Processes are streamlined using stations equipped with barcode scanners, magnetic stripe readers, thermal routing printers, PVC card printers and cameras to increase productivity. Business rule processing is handled in a J2EE based middle-tier that links with local and remote databases to make complex decisions in an ever evolving industry. Over two million registrations have been processed using Omnicouncil.
